  • Made it until about 10:30 last night and then I was out. Stayed asleep too. Not much to report on daily action, except for the chuckles that we’ve had concerning one of our lobbyists. So she wants meetings set up with various legislators and actually wrote down on a sheet of paper…

    …”drop my name”.

Kind of nonsense is that? Like that’s the magic word or something. Like one can say [name] and people will just fall over. It got even funnier when people would say “Who?” and ask questions. That has been hilarious to laugh at. Honestly, that’s about all I’ve got. Police Women (season finale, I think) tonight, and DBZK before that. Might get some cleaning in tonight to save myself some time this weekend, even though there's no baseball to go watch.

  • So Xanga, today has been interesting. I've been up since 2:30. Yes, you read that right. I watched ESPN until 4, watched Family Ties until 5, and then Maryam was on - and once I see her, I'm not going back to sleep. So I went to the office a little early after one last attempt at sleep. Everything was going well until I noticed a problem and tried to fix it (as is my nature). I should have left it alone. I wasted almost an hour and a half before I gave up, and then I found out it's a recurring issue that no one could solve and requires professional attention. Sigh. After that I went to lunch...but spent lunch going to campus on a fruitless search. Paid $40 for not even 3/4 of a tank of gas and then there was a lot of stuff waiting for me to do - after I volunteered to help someone out yet again. I'll learn eventually. After leaving the office I ran another errand which ended up fruitless, but used the opportunity to pay my rent. At least that's out of the way, although the joke will be on me if they present the check tomorrow (which is obviously doubtful, otherwise I'd have waited). Came back here and worked out, which I figured would be good to do before this inevitable crash that will result from being up 17.5 hours (and counting) in a row. As long as I make it through the UConn game I'll be alright. If I'm still up at 11, though, something has gone terribly wrong.

  • Okay, so here's the craziness: every time I swear this girl thinks nothing of me, she says (or proves) otherwise. It's so odd. Right when I literally start to think that I can't read her or figure out what she thinks of me she'll send a text or something. I can see I'm going to have to work slower (not a problem) and think slower (now there's the issue) than normal. Oh well, we shall see.

Nothing else interesting happened...oh yeah, folk at the office are losing it left and right. That time in the MSW program may be put to good use after all. I also downloaded Microsoft Security Essentials, read a great article on HuffPost about Canada, and watched some Charlie Sheen TV. I guess it was an interesting day. Aw man, I need to put these clothes in the dryer. Later, Xanga.
