Normal day at the office...everyone else going crazy, me staying calm. Got no sleep for the second straight night last night, though. It got to me while I was working out, but I think I got a decent set in. Been having fun with this 100 facts thing on Twitter. I'm up to 62. If it keeps going a little longer I might actually get to 100. Going to have a nice check next week. I'll have clocked 9 hours of OT once tomorrow ends. I haven't been able to get there at my scheduled time since last Monday. Oh well. What my sleep schedule loses, my bank account gains. I can balance it out later. Nothing else to really mention, other than seeing my friend on TV. She looked good. I'll be happy to see her sometime before she goes back home, probably tomorrow. Now I'm glad the one girl pushed our outing back to Sunday. Funny how things work out. Actually, that's true in many areas. Funny how things work out.

Well, today was an interesting day. I've been up since 3 - AM - and office stuff was alright. Nice, slow day...especially in the afternoon. I did get some Popeyes, but it made me two minutes late getting back. Problem? Nope. Just stayed two minutes later. Everything was great until I checked my email this afternoon after getting home. I was looking into something and got rather confident, but then the email took all that away. Ah well. There's still hope, but it doesn't look as good as it did before. Guess we'll see what happens. Also found out I might have another option. Guess I'll do what I do best: let life happen and deal with it. Prayer won't hurt either.
Oh, my date got pushed back to Sunday. Que sera sera. I was going to go to Little Black Dress Night, but now I don't much feel like it. I'll probably just watch movies until I get sleepy. Ah, confidence is such a fragile thing.

So Xanga, the weirdest things have been happening this week...people have started doing my stuff for me at the office. It's been weird. We got back to normal this morning when the director told me I needed to look out more carefully - for things that didn't exist at that point - but for some odd reason other folk have tapped into my responsibilities. It's been weird. I've had a lot of other stuff to do and really been involved with some new stuff, but still. Set up a date with the one girl for Friday. It'll be the last if nothing really kicks off. If she's not interested in me, then there's no need to waste time. Worked out this afternoon and paid some bills. It's nice to be officially caught up on bills after all the Samaritan stuff from the recent past (well, I will be once I get onto my desktop and pay the utility bill...but I have the money and that's the important part.
I've noticed myself falling into that rut once again of having a boring daily routine. Need to stop that. Well, there's some stuff going on later this week so I should be alright. I'll start running again to improve my conditioning...maybe I'll ride the bike: not as much wear and tear on the joints...now that it's warm. What else...um, that's it.

Eesh...nothing since Sunday. Well, nothing special happened during the week. I mean, office life is always interesting. Got reamed Tuesday (comparatively speaking) for not doing something I was never asked to do. Or was it Thursday...oh well, you see how much it mattered. I saw an old friend of mine Friday as I was walking around and caught up with her a bit. She's actually running now...which reminds me, I can start back up now that it's not cold here anymore. Another of my friends is coming up here...actually, she should be pretty close now. Her aunt is a legislator, so she's coming up to visit her and help out with a charity she's involved with. We're going to catch up at some point during the week. Also might see the one girl I'm somewhat talking to. We'll see what happens there. Let's see, last week...oh yeah, I filled out my bracket. Have no interest in seeing how it looks, especially since Pitt lost last night. That made me quite unhappy, but UConn is doing well so far.
In other news, my two friends who stayed with me for a while in December broke up yesterday. Apparently there was a really bad fight and he packed his stuff up and left. Haven't heard from him, she's going through the expected motions. Funny thing is she's still holding on somewhat...and I have no clue why. Let it go. Be done.
Had a great night at the club last night. Lots of pretty girls, good music...how about I was the one to get the dancing started. Circle around me, all that good stuff. I'm too old to be the center of attention, although none of them could tell. Seriously, my "life of the party" days are so far gone. I'd rather just chill in the background and do my thing here and there. I don't need to be the one that's front and center anymore. It's nice to know I can still do it, but I'll pass and let the young boys shine. I had my time, and they should have theirs.
One common thought last night: the women were seriously attractive. I even saw one that looked like a smaller version of an old crush I had. I've already talked about how that gets to me when I get home, so I'll spare that. There's just something about attractive women, though; I tell you. They can make a place a lot more fun.
Normal Sunday stuff and we'll see what happens later.

Xanga...yesterday I did everything I could to keep my mind off my fantasy basketball team. It was hard, but I did a lot. I worked out and washed the car, but I planned on doing those things anyway. Watched Duke whoop North Carolina, and then saw a travesty as UF got a 2 seed. Other than that, I watched miscellaneous TV and set up an outing - but I might not go through with it.
Today at the office was rather occupying. It wasn't really busy or pressure-filled, just a lot of "busy work". I will say I'm glad I took my time getting there, because I have to get there early tomorrow.
Oh, my fantasy basketball team lost...but the other guy lost worse, so I really won.
Anyway, I need to eat some dinner (well, I already ate some salad) and get some stuff ready for tomorrow.

Thursday was pretty much a normal day. There's a bit of a snag in an upcoming project, but I'll just have to see how it works out. Actually got to see the last 18 seconds of the UConn game, which was cool. Oh: I also found the very pretty Sara Walsh on Twitter. That about covers Thursday.
Friday was a normal day until I went to the baseball game...well, I got to the stadium after listening to a friend of mine on the phone. Got to the gate and the guy told me my student ID was invalid. Um, excuse me? I've had the same card since I started at this accursed school. Used said card Tuesday - as in three days earlier - to get in. Use it everywhere. Now I have to get a new card because you say so and Officer Friendly is next to you? And then it got worse when he tried to patronize me by saying he'd let me in (in that tone of voice that clearly showed his idea that he was doing me some kind of favor). Had it not been for Friendly, I'd have lost it. At the very least I should have chirped a little more. Instead I walked right on in...and then walked right out the other side of the stadium. Never even sat down. Came back here and did the usual Friday evening stuff.
Woke up yesterday morning and listened to Music Choice instead of 99 Jamz. Cleaned the bathroom and that was actually it. Not much else to do. There was a Daria marathon until 4, which was great. Caught up on new music, which wasn't great. There is nothing out right now....which is why that music column on the right hasn't changed.
Then 6:00 came, and the great night began. Kansas beat Texas, and then UConn won their fifth game in five nights to win the Big East championship over Louisville. Not the best game, but it was close and suspenseful. Somehow I was still able to get into the club free...and I saw an amusing little fight in the parking lot. Grambling's track team was in the building, and let's just say I was reminded that Louisiana has a lot of talent. These local strippers were mad that the Grambling women were getting all the props so they did all kinds of "hater" things, including pouring drinks on the Grambling women. Thankfully it didn't get any worse than that. I'm sure they deal with locals so they probably knew what it was. Then the strippers decided to get on the "shone pole" for a second. After that some women who were actually pretty got up there and the night ended rather well. Went grocery shopping afterward and was actually done in 15 minutes. I looked at my phone like it was crazy when I saw the time as I was leaving.
Today, not too much on deck other than watching college basketball...and washing clothes and washing the car.

Oh, Xanga...I actually had entries written Monday and yesterday. I saved Monday's, but just was never able to get on here (you'll see why). Yesterday I left my flash drive here. And then of course there's today. Here's Monday...
"Ah, Xanga…didn’t do much of anything yesterday. I did watch some of the Laker game but that was about it for the afternoon. Saw some Scarface last night and…that was pretty much it. Woke up this morning and just got ready to hit the office. Not a lot to do here either, although the boss came with the hyperbole again. It seems to be so important that I do everything. Whatever.
One thing happened that was kind-of cool. I went to get something out of office services and the two most attractive women in the place both spoke. They’re both nice people, but I can’t recall being in the same room as both of them and both speaking. Small victories...fancy dinner on deck and then Raw with Stone Cold. Workout will be sprinkled in there somewhere.
Okay, so I might have talked my way into something interesting. I’ll give out info if/as it develops."
And now yesterday and today with a bit of Monday sprinkled in...I went to this bigwig political dinner Monday (which is why I didn't get Monday's entry in). It was cool eating - I had a bit of everything except the pasta, but mostly had oysters and a bit of sushi - and hanging out with one of my colleagues. Met some of her friends: they're interesting people. Some are on the news, some are doing their own thing lobbying, a couple even play softball. The one sobering thing was seeing someone who I was in the MSW program with working the event. I felt bad because it meant either that's her job now - with a master's - or she has that as a second job, presumably because the primary isn't bringing home enough money. Couldn't bring myself to ask. Normal Monday stuff after I came home.
Yesterday was an interesting day, as the first day of session normally is. Haridopolos, Cannon, and especially Rick Scott made me sick. My head hurt reading a transcript of Scott's speech. Got to run around the Capitol a little bit...actually, that's pretty much it (most of what I'd written for yesterday had to do with Monday's dinner).
Today was actually pretty mundane, except for the fact that I came home for lunch and got in a small workout. The baseball game was moved up to noon due to this terrible weather that's here now, so nothing to do in the evening. I may go to sleep really early tonight, especially if there are no Daria episodes...which there likely won't be since there were last night. If these burgers thaw out I might be gone by 9. Really not much else to talk about so I'll leave it here.

Didn't go out last night. Just didn't feel like it when the time came. Went to sleep early...which of course meant I woke up early. I went shopping and they had shrimp tempura (win) and they also had Buffalo chicken DiGiorno (super win). Stayed up to watch Joel, who talked about how prejudice can hold people back. Other than those things, I spent my morning watching Sara Walsh and Natasha Curry.
Funny thing happened this afternoon. I was thinking about my solo existence and then the phone rang. I talked to my dad for a few minutes and as I was putting the phone down my mom called. Turned out both of them were thinking about me when I somewhat thought that no one does. While I live a solo existence mostly by choice, it's nice to hear from people every now and again. Actually, I probably should be more social. We'll see. Mom told me she had a breast cancer scare but her test came back negative. Whew. This would have been written from Lauderdale in about five hours otherwise, because I promise I'd have left here with the quickness.
As far as the rest of the day, I'll probably just lay back and do nothing. Everyone's said for two months that I should be scared of this week (legislative session starts Tuesday). I may do some prep - just clothing, of course - so I don't have to worry about anything. Wow, I need to eat something. Later, Xanga.

Well, Xanga, let's see...last night I tried to watch Real Time but Comcast, in its upgrading efforts, has wiped out the free HBO feed. I was solidly unhappy about that. Watched something and then went to sleep. Got up this morning and did my usual Saturday stuff, which took a lot less time than I expected since there wasn't all that much to do. Workout took the same amount of time, but I had a lot fewer dishes to wash. Also decided just to rinse off the car since it's raining tonight and tomorrow. Bathroom didn't need cleaning and the kitchen floor didn't need mopping. Spent a lot of the day just watching TV. UConn lost, which made me mad. That's pretty much it, other than my noticing that music in 2011 has stunk thus far. I can count the number of good songs that I hadn't heard in 2010 on one hand. It's March. That is ridiculous. And I never thought I'd say this, but Lloyd might be the best thing going in R&B. Maybe the Chris Brown album will be about something. Hope it is, since everything else he's doing is catching so much scorn. Oh well, back to being the rock that everyone leans on...before I watch Duke/UNC and then go out.

Last night was one of those nights that was great for no reason…and so far, today matches that. It didn’t start off so well because NickToons showed the wrong episode of DBZK. There was supposed to be a new ep, but they showed an old one. It got a lot better when Police Women started. It was the season finale, which I was sad about…but then I got the best news ever: they’re going back to Broward County next season! In case anyone forgot, I’m from Broward - but past that, Broward was the best season and had the two best-looking women (Andrea and Ana). April 7 is going to be great.
This morning was okay, except I rushed to the office for no reason. After that it was cool, though. I was invited to a surprise birthday weekend (since the internet is a small place I won’t go any further for now) - with the hotel paid for. All I have to do is get there. Woo to the hoo. May try to see one particular sight where I’m going too…well, I will try. There’s one event here that might be the same weekend - with my luck it will be - but I’ll skip it for this. Fun with the crew and I possibly get to see the sight? Sign me up, I don’t care what weekend it is.
I know I’m about ready to escape and…do nothing. No baseball this weekend, spring break starts for the students so there’ll be no one out…maybe I’ll catch up with the girl I’ve been mentioning lately. Maybe I won’t (it’s up to her) and I’ll just sleep and lay around the house. We shall see.
