  • Xanga...haven't missed much this week. I did go to the mall after I came back Sunday, and then went to the my friends' new place. They actually returned (or replaced) the stuff that wasn't here when I got back. I was surprised...pleasantly, but surprised. It'd have saved me some money that I spent grocery shopping on my way back (the Wal-Mart on the way back is about the same distance from my place as the one I normally go to, so it only made sense). Watched the football games over there and played with their friend's little boy, who liked to "drive" cars on my head. No, I don't have any parts or anything that would make my head look like a road. Came back here and went to sleep.

As all y'all with 9-5 gigs can attest to, the week was rather monotonous other than Monday. Watched the game at a new sports bar (which used to be a restaurant). They have a burger which is meat and all inside a doughnut. I was so straight. I can't even imagine that. Tuesday I watched the UConn game. Wednesday and yesterday I watched Police Women episodes...Wednesday I watched Dallas shows On Demand and yesterday I watched Memphis repeats that TLC showed until the Cincinnati premiere came on. There are still no policewomen that look as good as 954's Andrea Penoyer, and there likely never will be. Tonight I watched the season premiere of Real Time with Bill Maher. Wasn't the best, but it'll do after missing it for months.

I've been thinking throughout the week about making improvements in a multitude of areas. First, I need to get used to this schedule and get back to doing things that I was doing before the job. Second, I need to tell this cold weather to go somewhere and get more active: both personally and in the community. I've always been wary of getting involved with things in Tallahassee (non-school) because I haven't wanted to make that type of investment here. Going to have to rid myself of that.

I watched the ESPN Town Hall. Everyone but Spike Lee was good. Lee was horrible. John Calipari was masterful in his commentary: absolutely masterful. Not saying everything he said was on the up and up, but he said it so well that I was amazed.

As far as the job itself, the folks in office services are still fine (and the sister can really sing) and the HR lady is still the one in the building. The one lady I mainly work with still looks nice too. That's about it from me...I'll be back.
